Time Repairs Limited was established primarily a trade watch and clock repair centre, which allows us to take postal repairs via the Internet at a considerably lower price than most retail outlets offering a similar quality service. Our main watchmaker is both BHI qualified and a genuine Swiss trained watchmaker via WOSTEP in Neuchatel, Switzerlan. This allows us to specialise in the repair and restoration of all prestige Swiss watch brands including Rolex, Omega, IWC, Jeager LeCoultre, Tag Heuer, Breitling and Zenith. We are also carry out many repairs on Japanese brand watches sucgh as Seiko & Citizen and will do our best to repair watches that the manufacturer is no longer able or willing to service or repair. We carry out all work from the replacement of a battery or strap right through to the full repair or restoration of a vintage watch or clock.

Time Repairs Limited was established in August 2006. Both watches and clocks are serviced, repaired and restored on the premises by our Swiss Trained Watchmaker, Brian McDaid. Brian is a fully BHI qualified and acheieved a Diploma via WOSTEP while finishing his training in Switzerland..

Time Repairs is situated in Chadderton near Oldham, Lancashire. Customers are welcome to drop of their watches for repair but visitors are strictly by appointment only. Our workshop is fully equipped with both traditional and state of the art watch and clock making tools and test equipment. A large stock of spare parts and material is carried for both modern and obsolete watches and we hold accounts with numerous material dealers and watch manufacturers world-wide.

As well as being a Member of the British Horological Institute Brian is also proud to be a member of the British Watch and Clock makers Guild. He has numerous professional qualifications, many years bench experience and attends courses, seminars and trade fairs when ever possible to keep abreast of any advancements in Horological technology, training, tools or equipment.

Brian has also completed the Ronda course and is approved to repair Swiss watches containing Ronda movements. By regularly visiting Switzerland he has completed Quartz specific and AutoQuartz course's in Grenchen, Switzerland at the ETA movement factory.

Time Repairs Limited have all the tools, equipment and skills necessary to make new parts for both watches and clocks when the circumstances arise that parts are missing or have become obsolete. This includes turning new balance staffs, re-pivoting and wheel cutting.


As well as being a genuine Swiss trained watchmaker, Brian is also extremely experienced in the restoration and repair of Seiko and other Japanese manufactured movements. We therefore specialise in the repair and service of all Seiko watches whether new or vintage models. This includes the Seiko 5 range of Automatics, Standard Seiko mechanicals, Grande Seiko, Quartz and mechanical Chronographs and the whole Seiko Kinetic and Auto relay range of watches.

We carry a large stock of obsolete parts and material to allow the repair of vintage Seiko models such as the Seiko Bellmatic and Seiko Speedtimer models. A stock of new spares and accessories is also available such as straps, bezel rings and glasses allowing almost any Seiko watch to be restored to its original as new condition.
